Sharon loves having the time to explore technique in a deeper way, giving you the space to refine, question and truly understand your movement. The result: more confidence, more clarity and a dance that feels both grounded and expressive.

This masterclass is designed for burlesque performers with solo or group performance experience, or for burlesquers who are ready for a challenge.
Don’t hesitate about your level – just do it. Sharon will adapt to the group and you will not regret learning from her!
Friday 2 October
19h – 22h: Lindy Hop Styling & Variations (Int.-Adv.)

Let’s explore the unashamedly superficial and play with the aesthetics of your Lindy Hop.
This workshop will focus on the visual side of the dance: bold lines, striking shapes, natural use of the arms and upper body, and footwork variations that add character and texture. The aim is to help you find more drama, confidence and personal expression in your dancing, and stand out from the crowd. In our dance, good style usually feeds into good technique, so emerge a better dancer too!

For the dedicated dancer who has moved well beyond the basics and is ready for true refinement. You have a solid vocabulary, but you are now looking for more quality, flow, and a crystal-clear connection.
In this track, we let go of complex patterns to focus on the essence: technique that makes your dancing more fluid and responsive. We dig deeper into timing and dynamics to transform your technical foundation into pure musical freedom. The goal is to gain more precision and confidence in every social dance, regardless of the partner or the tempo.

For those who set the standard on the dance floor. This level is intended for the community leaders of the scene: competitive dancers, experienced teachers, and die-hard social dancers who operate at a matching technical level. You are a reference point for others and are personally seeking the outer limits of musicality and connection.
In this group, we challenge you to refine your skills, focusing on the deeper layers of the dance.

1. Organizer & Eligibility
This contest is organized by The Cherry Dots Dansschool VZW (hereafter referred to as “the Organizer”). Entry is completely free of charge and open to anyone aged 18 or older. Volunteers, instructors, or board members of the Organizer who are directly involved in the planning of this specific intensive weekend are excluded from participation.
2. Contest Period
The contest runs on the official Instagram channel of the Organizer (@thecherrydots) from the moment the contest post is published until Sunday, August 16, at 23:59 CEST. Any entries, comments, or edits made after this deadline will not be taken into consideration.
3. Selection of the Winner
To comply with legal guidelines, the winner will not be determined by random chance or a lottery draw. The winner will be selected by a jury consisting of representatives from The Cherry Dots.
Entries will be evaluated based on the following qualitative criteria provided in the user’s comment:
- The creativity and enthusiasm of the dancer’s personal Lindy Hop story.
- The motivation expressed regarding why they wish to attend the International Lindy Intensive.
In the event that the jury finds multiple entries to be equally outstanding (a tie), the participant who submitted their comment earliest will be declared the winner. The jury’s decision is final and binding.
4. The Prize
The prize consists of one (1) free Day Pass worth €120 for the International Lindy Intensive in Kortrijk (Belgium). The winner can choose between:
- 6h Intermediate-Advanced Lindy Hop Intensive – Saturday, October 3
- 6h Advanced Lindy Hop Masterclass – Sunday, October 4
The prize is strictly personal, non-transferable to third parties, and cannot under any circumstances be exchanged for cash, store credit, or other services. The prize covers the workshop entry fee only. Any other expenses, including but not limited to transportation, accommodation, meals, drinks, or travel insurance, are entirely the responsibility of the winner.
5. Announcement & Data Privacy
The winner will be officially announced on Monday, August 17, via the @thecherrydots Instagram page. The winner must contact the Organizer via Instagram Direct Message (DM) within 7 calendar days to claim their scholarship pass. If the winner fails to respond within this timeframe, the right to the prize expires, and the jury will select the next best entry. All personal data collected through this contest will be used solely for the administration and handling of this giveaway in full compliance with GDPR regulations.
